This Cancellation Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use and Refund Policy.
1. General Booking Cancellations (Single Classes/Private Lessons)
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel a single class or private lesson booking, please provide us with as much notice as possible.
- Cancellation with more than 48 hours' notice: You will receive a full refund or a credit to your account for a future booking.
- Cancellation with less than 48 hours' notice: A credit may be issued to your account at our discretion. No refunds will be provided.
- No-shows: If you do not attend your booked session without prior notice, you will not be eligible for a refund or credit.
2. Multi-Day Passes, Workshops, and Camps
For multi-day programs, cancellations affect our planning and instructor scheduling.
- Cancellation with more than 72 hours' notice before the program starts: You will receive a full refund.
- Cancellation with less than 72 hours' notice before the program starts: A partial credit may be issued at our discretion.
- Cancellation after the program has commenced: No refund or credit will be provided for any unused days.
3. Recurring Memberships
Our recurring memberships are designed for our committed students. If you wish to cancel your membership, the following conditions apply:
- Notice Period: We require a minimum of thirty (30) days' written notice to cancel your recurring membership. This notice period allows us to manage our class scheduling and administration.
- How to Cancel: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@australianschoolofselfdefence.com.au. Verbal or SMS requests will not be accepted.
- Final Payment: Your final payment will be calculated on a pro-rata basis to cover the 30-day notice period. You are welcome to continue training during this notice period.
- Cancellation Effective Date: Your cancellation will be effective at the end of the 30-day notice period.
4. Instructor Cancellations
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a class or program, we will provide you with as much notice as possible. In such cases, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or a credit for a future service.
5. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This Cancellation Policy does not exclude, restrict, or modify any of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If we fail to provide our services with due care and skill, or if they are not fit for purpose, you may be entitled to a remedy, which could include cancellation and a refund. Please refer to our Terms of Use for more information on consumer guarantees.
